(How the Sperm Whale got it's name) Back in the whaling days, the primary tool for hunting whales was a Harpoon or spear. The hunters would aim for the Sperm Whales frontal lobe, which contains its two 'melons' for a type of echolocation. These 'melons' are filled with a white liquid. When these 'melons' were punctured, the white stuff would squirt out and the whalers thought it was because the whales testicles were in it head. Thus gaining the name Sperm Whale.
