From what I've heard around these forums, the players think Bungie replaced and nerfed their old weapons to oblivion because they wanted to force us to try the new guns and armor instead of giving us new ones that will make us say "Wow! I need that!" The perfect example (for me) of them doing just that was Khepri's Sting, Exotic Hunter Gauntlets that reload primary weapons quickly and make you invisible. For the way I played that was fantastic! I gladly put down the Knucklehead Radar because being sneaky sneaky with any class and faster reloads was more valuable to me than keeping my radar active. If they released more guns and gear like that, then I wouldn't mind putting down my old favorites. But otherwise, I feel like many others in that I'm forced to put it down to keep up.
