Well no. Why would they be? Side arms have zero recoil and shoot faster than you can pull the trigger.
They also have much longer range than shotguns and less pull up time.
Sidearms are very good. Just not a single trigger pull like shotties

They are really innacurate though. You aren't lying, but if the shots don't register, bothing else matters.
