Snipers are OP in Crucible. Here's a "short" reason why:

Snipers have may be the most skilled, but do they really have a high learning curve in Destiny, if not, a learning curve at all? Let's see why I believe they need nerfing:
-The ridiculous impact snipers can one shot revived enemies, completely ruining the point of over shields on revives
-Very High Target Acquisition makes head shots extremely easy to get
-Little to No Recoil allows for follow up shots to be extremely easy with little to no effort
-No Sway, allowing players to be completely agile and spam fire while maintaining targets
-No velocity limitations (Why would bungie add Hakkë weapons with velocity buffs, yet there are no limitations/mechanics to make this relevant? This applies to all weapons)
-High rates of fire (Similar to scout rifles)
-Head shot hit boxes are big, allowing for ridiculous one shot kills that shouldn't happen (Neck, shoulder, ect)
-Semi high ROF snipers with all listed above.... Really, Bungie?
-Conspiracy Theory-D
-Can outgun regular CQC weapons because of all listed above
-I recommend Nerfing the salty community as well. Nerf cries are running rampant on things that don't even need it. (In short, don't always listen to the bitching unless you actually looked into it.)
Other than that, they're completely fine and only skilled players can use them, right? (Obvious sarcasm) No, but seriously, something needs to be done about this. Anyone else agree? Don't stick you're head out.Snipers are getting better and better in this game,evolving to a certain extent,since the crutch of final round has been patched they will continue to improve.either get on the band wagon or go camp in a corner with felwinters. Their not op it's just people are starting to get good at using them.

I snipe and it was a little hard at first, but most snipers just hard scope. That doesn't really take much skill at all. Just have to know the map. I think if they removed the aim assist, then sniping would be a whole lot better. There are ways to counter snipers. Best way is not to go in open areas. But a good sniper is gonna get you. I played with this team of outstanding snipers. I'd be at a full sprint and get picked off. Nothing I could do to get away from these guys. That's when I decided to learn how to do that.

3 RisposteThere is nothing more annoying than laying headshots into a guy and he just scopes in and I'm dead in an instant. Or worse when the guy is almost dead he goes around a corner and pops back out already zoomed in with sniper and headshots me(admittedly this takes more skill but still). Happens way too much

Its a very easy fix. Simply remove Target Aquisition from all weapons in the Crucible and minimize Aim Assist to a bare minimum at [i]best.[/i] I guaruntee you if this is ever done, 90% of people with a Sniper rifle as their Secondary will stop using one in a heartbeat. Course Bungie will never do this, as the game is rated T for teen and is clearly modeled out with the pursuit of pleasuring the young ones born around 2000. Changes like those, however neccessary, would make the game too hard for the children.

(Sarcasm) * only people with bad depth perception are dumb enough to go against a sniper. * only people who wield shotguns think long range weapons are "OP". * most people who have a shotgun in there hand feel they shouldn't be out smarted when really (you're the dumb one in the first place if you think you can compete with a sniper.)

Couldn't agree less. Snipers require a fair amount of skill to use well. Headshots should be instant death.

Im against any kind of aim assist whether it be from a perk or just the game settings no matter what gun. But i don't really think the sniper rifle in Destiny is a big issue.

Maybe you're just an idiot trying to go shot for shot when you see a dude looking at you with a sniper at long distance and you using a pulse rifle or auto rifle, snipers have high impact for a reason, not every time you die by a body shot from a sniper, takes a good sniper to snipe someone in the head let alone the target being on the move or being shot at, quit being a little bytch snipers are fine

No. They are fine. The only secondaries that need any adjusting are fusion rifles.

I wish they would do something they need to nerf them a bit add more flinch ( or damage takes you out of ads) add weapon sway. snipers that fire faster then scouts should be removed.

And you do know the easiest way to counter low skilled snipers is crouch in gun battle because it makes your hit box smaller and takes you off of the enemies reticle for a second

1 RispondiI use snipers and i agree. Hidden hand should go and their aim assist be be nerfed to a cap of 30. Also out of all the points you listed bullet drop should definitely be implemented.
