whats the point of playing pvp anymore?
As a mainly pve player I would spend HOURS in pvp trying to get crucible marks ffor better guns and gear but now I have literaly zero reason to play. of course I know its supposed to be fun and it is but after the 3rd match and not really getting anything it gets boring fast. anyone else feel this way?

And now you know how I felt back when you had to play Crucible to get the marks. Try some PvE. It might open your eyes a bit. TTK's mostly about that anyway, most of the quests I saw for the Crucible were lame, bar the Chaperon one (but that requires The Last Word...)

PVP is a recreational sport, it's not meant to feel like a job

For fun? Currently I'm amusing myself by getting occasional kills (I'm terrible in PvP) with my new hand cannon knowing that the unlucky party will get the message "Ace of Spades" as the means of their demise. Got to get used to the new maps for Iron Banner too. That's going to be mental when that hits.

Outside of quests and 15 daily marks, nothing. Almost no practical rewards, no exp needed after 40, etc. Bungie has a problem of keeping stuff relevant: eg iron banner post house of wolves. It was only worth time if you needed the etheric light. Gear was under lvl 36 so it was pointless. Same now, watch them only be 160/170 def.

Thankfully there's not much of one. Most of us have noticed when a lot of people play PvP it gets really laggy. Like when iron banner and trials fell at the same time. Or even better the day taken King released. PvP absolutely horrible. When fewer people play the games always seem to play better

Knowing how salty that guy or girl is getting while you rip off 5, 10, 15 plus kills. Headshots, throwing knives, long distance grenades, that rush you get when the your trigger finger was faster than theirs in a shotgun standoff. Man I'm getting a lil sweaty just thinking about it. Oh man knowing that you made someone ragequit... Its addicting.
