The way I see it servers are just a courtesy item from bungie. We are paying for a game not the servers. Kinda like if you go and buy a car, but then the dealership decides to charge you every year to keep the tires. Sure you can bring up "but you dont own the game" and all that but I think the analogy is fair enough.
