A dilemma for feminists.
In today’s news, a Muslim fundamentalist from Dubai stopped lifeguards from saving a young girl from drowning. His name is Colonel Ahmed Burqibah and he's the chief of police in the area. In his view, it was better that she died rather than be touched by the male lifeguards and dishonored. He did this because of his religious beliefs.
How do you react?

If Islam says that it's dishonorable for a girl to be touched by a man when he's [i]saving her life[/i], then that's a fücking stupid facet of the religion. I may be a feminist, but I'm also an atheist and this is the major issue that I disagree with many of my fellow feminists about. Many of them are so quick to be apologetic when it comes to terrible things inspired by Islam, but yet will criticize Christianity all day long. In reality, all religions are stupid and dangerous, and Islam happens to be the [i]worst[/i] of them in modern times. Also criticizing his actions based on religious beliefs has nothing to do with him being a person of color. Being critical of religion has absolutely nothing to do with race. White Christians have refused medical treatment for their terminally ill children based on their religious beliefs, and that's murder as far as I'm concerned. So fück you with your "if you're a feminist you have to choose option C" bullshit.

I'm pretty sure if you asked the girl whether she'd rather drown or be touched by men trying to save her life, she'd chose the latter. Her being a female has nothing to do with my opinion, nor does his religious beliefs or color of his skin. It's a person. You save the person. He's the one who made gender an issue. He's the one who made religion an issue. The region it happened in is the reason for his race.

Save the life. I consider myself a feminist. By that I mean an egalitarian. But this isn't about that. Stuff like this turns me into an angry anti-theist. Culture and religion aside, SAVE THE LIFE.
