What's even the point of making 3 of the same class? Just a huge waste of time.

What's the difference between having one of each, but only using one class predominantly, versus having 3 of the same class? It is really choosing jack of all trades vs a specialist. There are benefits to both ways.

Not really. All of the classes have unique traits that make them better in specific scenarios in end game content. By having all three classes you have a lot more options and having more options is always a good thing. There's no reasonable reason to not have one of each character. You're only limiting yourself to one experience instead of three.
