Get over it, Dinker is gone. Thats the problem with using a movie/tv actor to do voice overs. They are usually to busy to keep coming back.

And yet Nathan Fillion keeps coming back. Hmmm... No actor turns down easy pay. Maybe Peter just saw what kind of BS Bungie was pulling and decided not to return. Maybe Bungie decided they could make more money with Nolan, so didn't ask Peter to come back (most likely scenario given Bungie's money grubbing and underhanded business practices). It's all speculation at this point. The point is they got a new voice actor to do the same lines and it [i]still[/i] lacks any real delivery in the performance.

Well Bungie said Dinker couldn't get in to do voice overs for Taken King because of work he's doing elsewhere. Either Game of Thrones or a movie. Voice overs may be easy money, but i doubt Dinker will blow off Game of Thrones or a movie for Destiny. Lol

I'm not saying it's a conspiracy. I'm simply saying that most things Bungie says and does are suspect as of late. They'll say anything to improve their image.

Well i certainly don't doubt Dinker has other commitments and can't come running when Bungie needs voice overs.

Neither do I, but I don't take anything Bungie says at face value anymore either. There's something else going on, and honestly it really doesn't matter what that something is. What matters is that the performance of [i]both[/i] voice actors that played Ghost was not on par with their talents as voice actors. That leads me to believe that it's the writing and direction they received from Bungie that is the problem. Now, do you have anything else to say?

I think the writing is fine. Billy Nighy and Lauren Cohan did fine work for example. Honestly, i don't like North or Dinker's versions for the Ghost. Its not Nolan North's best work and Dinker always sounded like he was reading. You could tell voice overs was not his cup of tea.

I think [i]all[/i] the (vast and immeasurable) voice talent was squandered in this title. When Staten left, well...the quality of the writing just hasn't been the same.

I understand they need to change it for TTK and with all the new ghosts we can get now I don't get why they needed to make the older voice match what's to come. They could quite easily have just introduced it as a new "upgrade" or something. It's disrespectful to Peter Dinklage to just write off his work like this.

True, but from what I read Dinker and Bungie didn't have the best working relationship to begin with.

Well even if that's so, he still managed to do a better job than Nolanballs. And he's a pro va. It just goes to show Bungies awesome actor direction, which I'm guessing was probably why Dinklage didn't get on with them haha

If Nolan was the voice from tne start, no one would even care. It would have been simply the norm.
