While I am now well aware of the effectiveness of these ads thanks to the forums here, its not like this is the only way to advertise. Halo 3 sold a bajillion copies without schlock adverts. Nintendo games sell like hotcakes without terrible ads. It just seems... cheap. Like the game is pandering and being whored out.
