You're fighting a losing battle. You're lucky as hell that your guns went as far as they did in terms of upgrades. Most games that use a progression system don't even allow that much. We're lucky that we are even able to get most of our exotics a year 2 version. Nobody is saying you can't use them. By all means, but you better be prepared for an ass beating if you take a weak weapon into the new PvE content. Otherwise, stick to PvP. Your favorite weapons are about to become trophy weapons, good for nothing else but showing off. Of course, there could be a second year upgrade for all weapons, but I highly doubt that. You better brace yourself because no matter how much you don't want it, change is coming.
