they wont do it no matter how much you cry and grumble and i really dont want them to let us keep year 1 weapons

At the end of year 2 I'm sure they'll pull the same crap they did in HoW and state that they've listened to our pleas and will be allowing upgrading/ascending/infusing/kiosking to all legendary and exotic weapons from either year - and they'll try and make it sound like they are doing us a favor. They really need to get their shit straight. Having completely new game mechanics every single expansion is getting really old and proves they have no idea what they are doing. A new expansion should only have new gear and new content - not huge bug fixes, rebalancing of weapons, and completely new upgrading systems. Those sort of updates should be free and happen as soon as they are available not postponed for the next big expansion.
