I don't want to leave old guns behind either, but if their presence reduces my need or want for new guns then I'm prepared to let them go. Look at it this way - the current state of loadout options in Destiny is ridiculously poor at the moment (well, sensible loadouts - there's plenty you can dick about with for fun). This is a real bad situation to be in. There's nothing interesting and no scope to get creative due to a relatively small no. of guns that overshadow everything else. If we get to bring everything forward to TTK we'll be in that same situation - the same situation that screwed gear progression in Crota and HoW - and I don't want that.
