I'm sure there's places that it costs less than what I'm paying if you just do a straight currency exchange. I mean the cost of a lot of items is vastly different just depending on what state you live in, using the same currency. There's a lot more factors involved than just that. Not trying to say that the price for you is fair or justified, just that comparing to a different country isn't necessarily an accurate way to determine what something should cost.
I know how much it costs here, and I'm OK with that price. I'll get my $ worth. If someone in another country can buy it for half that in US dollars when exchanging for currency value, that doesn't bother me any. It doesn't detract the value I get for the money I spend.
The amount of enjoyment I get is worth my cost. If the amount of enjoyment you would get is worth your cost, in your shoes I would pay it. If I thought I'd get more enjoyment with that money buying something else, than I wouldn't. But what someone pays in another country wouldn't factor into my purchasing decision.
