Middle of the year? Easy to meet people and make friends because people tend to at least [i]try[/i] to talk to the new student who just transferred in. Assuming those conversations go on longer than "What school did you transfer from?" Or "Why did you move?"(because these [u]are[/u] the first questions asked). At any point in relation to the school year? You can "start fresh." Nobody knows about that shitty thing that happened to you in [i]x[/i] grade, or whatever other impressions you've indented on yourself. You get to forget all that shit, so enjoy that. Edit: worst part? Everyone's a stranger and you don't know what to do with yourself at lunch or when the class is told to "group up."
