All exotics should be continued into "year two". I've had to level my ghally, ice breaker etc three separate times now, although the third time wasn't that bad I'll admit. So, why cut them off now? Maybe here's why... Let's be honest, Bungie doesnt want us melting bosses as easily as we 've been doing it, and they want casuals to be able to enjoy all of the content. Comes down to the guy who beat Skolas by himself the first week using Ghally and Icebreaker and on the other side of the skill spectrum there were thousands spending 7 hours trying to best Skolas. Both sides caught Bungie's attention because he did it so easy, and the other because honestly they complained, a lot on these forums. Balance the guns, problem solved...or not.
