These are just my thoughts and theories about the sword and how it operates. Enjoy and feel free to comment. - The sword will have infinite ammo(swings), but will have a limited number of energy to unleash as a potent Arc blast similar to the Bladedancer's Razor's Edge ability. - When the sword is equipped, Destiny is switched over to a Third-person perspective similar to how the Sword of Crota and the Scorch Cannon is used. - The sword will be used differently than the Sword of Crota and will function more like a regular sword from an RPG game(Skyrim, Witcher, etc.). - Guarding with the sword will reduce damage taken as long as the sword is raised. - Your energy blasts recharge over time instead of having to pick up Heavy ammo. - The Speed stat determines how fast you can swing the sword/how many swings you can pull off in a certain amount of time. - The Impact stat is just like it is now, and determines the damage of the sword. - The Range stat determines how far your energy blast can travel before dissipating. Or it will determine how far your sword/Guardian can reach from a given position with the blade. - The Efficiency stat determines how many swings your Guardian can pull off before tiring out. When you tire out you can no longer swing your sword for a very short period of time. - The Defense stat determines how much incoming damage is reduced when you are guarding with the sword. - Finally, the Energy stat determines how many times you can unleash an Arc blast before having to recharge them. Or, it determines the damage of your energy blasts separate from your swing Impact. Those are just my thoughts and theories on this awesome-looking new weapon type.
