^ This is the correct answer. Most people use online anonymity to do things they normally wouldn't do in person. Most people I've seen who act immature are gamers that act like they are under the age of 17. This is not a gender issue. This is a issue for everyone in general in our community. This community is moderate-high toxic in my opinion (not all of you are bad, I seen lots of nice people on these forums). Never let them get to you. Keep your head up high and ignore the ones who are jerks.
