So it's that time of the week again, the sweaties have emerged from hibernation, the thorns unholstered and you've purchased a trials passage from Brother Vance. This isn't your first run at competitive destiny, you've poked your head into the crucible before, honing your skills in rumble, skirmish and clash; yet despite your experience, the sight of trials stirs you to your very core. Luck was on your side in the past, or so you thought. You assembled your dream team, meticulously studied your tactics and earned a record anyone would be proud of, 7-0. You can practically feel the heat of the light house as excitement burns your face with a smile. And then it stops. There's only one round left and your on the flight to 5-0 town, an easy win no doubt. But as your excitement climaxes, a notification reads along the bottom of your screen; "contacting destiny servers". Your mouth drops, the warmth of the light house fades and you whisper under your breath, "please, not again." And before you can utter a prayer that this time will be different, it hits you like a punch. "Error code: Weasel" It would seem that every time victory is within grasp, the taste of it lingering in the air, a split second of reality tares you from your euphoric high and laughs "there's always next week". How could you not expect this to happen, contrary to your faith in karma, you always know, deep down, that lag will strike and when it does not even an eternity of good deeds will save you. You toss the controller to the side, turn off the Xbox and bathe in the belief that you'll never be lucky enough to go flawless. Lucky enough to avoid triple sunslinger warlocks, lag switchers and the dreaded "Wiesel" error code. Not even a queens mercy can save you from a Weasel.
