Technically, The taken King is attempting to reset Destiny.
Think about it. A massive DLC, (It's seems pretty big to me) A massive patch, A new voice actor for the ghost, Many changes to the original game, and probably more.
All on the beginning of year two. Maybe it's when Destiny gets good.
