The day 40$ becomes expensive for 100s of hours of entertainment then i don't wanna live on earth anymore. As a grown man with a job i will gladly throw my 40$ at the screen.

Thats what i think people are missing. Just so butthurt over the price when if you think about it most of us have hundreds of hours some of us well over a 1000 and thats when destiny was vanilla for a long time.. And even with the next two DLC's wasnt that much content but still equal amount of hours. 40 for a DLC for a game you know youre gonna get countless hours on seems well worth it to me.

I thought the argument was 40 dollars being to much? $40 is $40 no matter what you spend it on? The comparison is just to show how little $40 really is in the world we live in today, my grandparents could see a movie and get a meal for a quarter.

Movies have been around way longer than games have. Even though money was more valuable in the past it went from like you say 25 cents to what it is today which is like $3 if it's some kind of cheap night to $15 for a ticket. If you inculde to snacks then yeah around $40. So over time it was a steady increase. Super Mario Bros 3 I see was around 60-80 dollars when it came out which today is like twice that from what some sites are saying. By those factors game are actually getting slightly cheaper over time especially since you can buy some games for $15 and still get tons of playtime out of them. Movies are slowly increasing while games decrease from what trends say. So I'm not trying to defend or attack the Taken King DLC but those two mediums have totally different trends. Music I'd say would be closer to movies by going up slowly because they still aren't all that expensive they've remained pretty stagnant for the most part.

Agree. I spend around $40 alone on movies for me and my girlfriend. That doesn't even include dinner which is another $60-100 and no, we don't eat fast food. So $40 for an expansion that I will spend hours on is a great deal. Can't wait until all these kids that think this DLC is a lot of money to start paying bills and spending money on going out.

Most of these players probably don't know that the whole concept of add-on content came from PC games, where it was called an expansion, cost about 16 to 20 dollars and was typically HALF the length of the full game. And it was truly new content. Most of the stuff we have been paying extra for in destiny was cut from the game on purpose to be sold to you again. Sadly i imagine most of these fanboys don't even have jobs, somebody buys this shit for them.

Your making zero sense. I have had 1000s of hours of fun in year 1 alone and with friends online playing Destiny for like 100 bucks with a game that the company has tried to make better since its release. Trial and error obviously some things i don't like and alot of things i do. Like i said 40$ is nothing to a grown man with a job. Not sure what your financial situation is or why your even on the forums talking gibberish but to us regular guys who appreciate the game we hit mute on nerds like you all day long baby.

Exactly, I've gotten my money's worth out the destiny so far. I like to compare it to going out to the bar or even the movies. Those events are like 4 or 5 hours of entertainment for more than 40 bucks. This is hundreds of hours for 40 bucks. Best money I've spent in awhile.
