Let's not forget that when TDB dropped, vanilla weapons weren't ascendable to the new damage level, yet VOG weapons lorded over CE. It isn't going to be as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

Greens and whites will have a higher attack value. You're right. It won't be as bad as everyone thinks. It will be worse.

Crota's End is level 32 hard. VoG is level 30 hard. Only a two level difference. If the new level cap is 40, I would assume the raid is level 40 or higher, so that level difference is definitely going to make a lot of guns worthless essentially.

1: Many people quit playing because of the Dark Below not allowing further Gear Ascension. This reaction is the same as before. 2: Weapons lording over other weapons is the result of the design team not being creative enough and trying to just consistently re-skin the old stuff. Has nothing to do with Gear Ascension.
