(Algebra) Trouble w/ absolute values
Does |3| + |2| = |3 - 2| = 1 or does it equal 5? The book I'm reading gives me seemingly contradictory information that we're searching for the distance between |3| and |2| but then it says |3| + |2| ≠ 1
I'm not really sure how to approach the problem.
