What do you think about this? Is this fine since they're supposedly not humans? Or does this show they are individual living entities like you and me?

That's not what happens, it's actually explicitly illegal. But it is legal for one medical organization to cover some of the costs involved in storing and transferring the tissue. The topic is gruesome and hard to talk about, but it's important to be mature about it.
