Just let us BUY the faction shaders from the faction vendors!
I am rank frigging 10 with dead orbit and have yet to get the "random" drop for their Revenant armor shader, pretty much the best looking shader in the game. Instead of making us grind eternally for something that may or may not drop as a reward for being part of that faction, why not just let us buy them off of the faction vendor for a set amount of glimmer or crucible or vanguard points. At rank 5 we should be able to buy all of the faction shaders from that particular faction. Want to keep the grind going? Just add new shaders every so often at higher ranks.
Because, frankly, dead orbit has the best colors in the game. The rest look like the Joker's suit on crack.

Nothing in this game should be sold, when I first started playing I loved the look of the Praxic Fire armour and I prayed to RNG at the end of every nightfall that I'd get it eventually I did I was super happy, three days later Xur sold it and every motherfu***r in the tower had it! I saw my friend with revenant and thought that is a bad ass shader, I want it so I started ranking up dead orbit to get it and eventually I did, but I earned it, just through sheer time alone, now if I saw someone running around with it knowing that they did a few bounties a day until they got to rank five and then bought it, f**k that, everything should be earned on this game not bought!

FYI they have intentionally ruined revenant on most new armour to make the new black shader seem better to encourage sales of the next dlc

1 RispondiIt should unlock after a while, rank 15 shader 1, rank 20 shader 2, rank 25 shader 3, rank 30 shader 4, rank 35 ship. You might get the shader/ship as a drop before, but they unlock to buy at those ranks. That's still a major grind, but at least you get it eventually.

Rank 31 new monarchy package 2 motes, also only have 1 shader from 31 packages

Rank 10 is that all? I've got people rank 60+ still no shader, I was luck and got 3 different off new monarchy by rank 24. Shaders shouldn't be sold but should be dropped at certain ranks

I don't think you should be able to straight up buy them, but you should be able to trade them for others. Ex. I have 4 bittersteels, I should be able to trade one or two for a revenant.

Bumped because, honestly, something needs to be done about the state of armor shaders.
