Seemed like they are getting hit just a tad bit. I wonder any negative effects on fusion rifles in general, will those effects ruin the vex even more?

It's possible. It happened in the last fusion riffle patch I just wish we had more options in general besides shotguns lol I love shotguns but I really loved plan c before the nerf it was one of my fav guns

Sad thing I never got to use fusion rifles too much before getting nerfed. Shotguns have been my second, and I usually rock sniper. Wish I could use fusion rifles without getting blink shottied before a charge even finished.
