Linda is the best sniper and Marksman. Sam was the strongest Spartan (he died), Kelly is the fastest physically and mentally. Kurt is the best leader and commander Fred is a good all around Spartan, a Jack of all trades. Chief is the luckiest and strongest mentally. They are all badass in their own way. It's hard as hell to pick the best, so I'll pick my favorite, and it's the Chief. Followed closely by Kelly (she is just badass at lightning speed).

Linda is a sniper. Definitely the best in that category.

An entirely opinionated answer to this question. In my opinion, those people saying Linda are geniuses.
