okay, please do explain this to me, we all know Thorn and TLW are INSANELY powerful primary weapons, so why exactly would he want to limit his game by not using STRONG guns?

Probably because it's simple minded work, boring, and downright amateur to use them. (No hate on your comment. Honest answer to why I dont use them and maybe why he doesnt.)
