Last night, I wanted to spice things up a little, as I didn't feel like doing PoE or my 3rd nightfall. I had two good friends on, so I figured tonight was the night. [i][b]Retro Vault of Glass![/b][/i] -bring our levels down to 30, no exotics, wear Chatterwhite and Class Item from VoG. One friend was pissy about it. He didn't understand the point of doing it this way was for fun, not for a quick run. So we buy white boots and come down to 30, get an all legendary loadout, and hit up LFG. I made a post with the specifics, and surprisingly got messages! One guy was an [i]actual[/i] level 30 who had yet to do this on hard. Finally, after a longer than normal wait, we spawn into the tower. I was [i]ecstatic[/i] at seeing 6 level 30's clad in Chatterwhite. The nostalgia was real. Sync plates went smooth, not one takeover! Then we got to the confluxes. This is where shit got real. We made it to the second set and wiped, then the third set and wiped, and it was a pattern every time. The same guy would die, then the noob, then I'm alone on left and would die. This isn't what was frustrating though, it was that with every wipe the noob would say "[i]you guys could just throw on your good stuff and blow past this, let's do that![/i]" I just keep saying no, that's not why we're here. Slowly, people started pulling out the Gjallarhorns and going back to level 34, to the point where it was 4 34's and 2 30's (me and the noob) and they [i][b]still couldn't do it![/b][/i] That was just blowing my mind. Eventually people got salty and started dropping out so we never finished. I [i]was[/i] having a blast though until people couldn't hang. I suggest trying this if you're burnt out! I will be again tonight or tomorrow. [spoiler]I'm on Xbox One, GT is "Exploding Namek" because Microsoft made me change it from PONETHEPOON yesterday.[/spoiler]
