I've got a spear with that. It's really not all that helpful. It only works on the final shot (duh) and the spear doesn't gain much ammo from boxes. Usually doesn't help much. And then there's those time when you use you last round and get a headshot anyway lol. Though shooting a fresh guardian in the knee is hilarious and sparks lots of skyrim quotes You are right, removing access to the perk for latecomers is even worse that the previous status quo. I've also heard that it is still available. Would be nice if you could see what the perk possibilities were before re rolling.
