I dont believe it's big enough of a problem in crucible to have to change. Warlock melee is on the edge, but easily fixed by not getting into a melee fight with a sunsinger. I've been messing around with SC in crucible since I got Eternal Warrior and while it can be effective, it's more of a gimminck than actual tactic. The only reason SC shouldn't be needed is because of the animation. Would make using it impossible, and no class deserves that.
