Playing Destiny Under Age
Although this is an old, already discussed problem, I believe that we can still change. I feel that the majority of players that play Destiny are under the appropriate age for shooters. I think this age should be 18 and over. I'll give you a few reasons.
1)It causes traumatic situations. I for one do not want my child flinching and screaming away every time they see somebody holding a sword.
2) It causes anti-social instincts to grow. When you think about it, the average session a child will play in Destiny is three to four hours. That's three to four hours where the only communication the are getting is with people they have met over the Internet. I don't want children growing older and being scared of every person they see.
3) It teaches them bad words. Every lobby I go into, there is always that person (usually a child) screaming curse words for no good reason. Where did they find out these words? From older players. If there was a minimum age, you would not have this problem. Children are getting angrier because of this game.
4) My final reason is that it causes violence. No 10 year old should be able to make another creatures head explode, or shoot other players virtually. What happens when that transfers to the real world? That anger and frustration would lead to much property being desecrated including
Mailbox Baseball
Laser Tag
TPing Houses
Egging Cars
Multiple holes in the wall from being punched.
ANY PERSON who do not follow these rules should be arrested with a minimum 2 year sentence.

I don't agree with your opinion on violence in videogames.. Well it's very irresponsable from parents leave their very young (10-11-12-13 yo) children for hours in front of violent and bloody games, that s right, but I don't think destiny is that kind of games.. There aren't extreme violent scenes when you kill enemies of all kinds. After this, I think that many children learn to be unpolite and rude while speaking with older people in chat, and this can be stopped by more awareness from all the community.. Well it's not easy not to scream shit! Shit! Shit! While 5 stealth vandals just spowned behind you with lightswich but a bit of behavior would help.. Parents also should keep an eye on their sons if they scream and insult people as I read so many times on the forum

What you care I do not if you were to ban all underaged players then a big proportion of the community would let's say die I have met many over aged players yet the majority are under aged

And tell if it's reality or fantasy but still one of the people in my school is in 8 grade and doesn't know what he has in his pants (penis). Because his mom babies him which is the wrong thing to do. Because what if he got offered weed and he said yes not knowing what it was and got put in Rehab for 2 weeks his family would be embarrassed and he would have trouble finding a job later on in the future. Because of that. I understand if your child is 11- but by 12 your son/daughter should eventually be taught this stuff or she may learn it the very bad way that's all I have to say thanks for reading

I've been playing games like resident evil and watching movies like alien since I was little. I turned out fine. What my parents took the time to teach me affected my behavior more than anything I ever played or watched.

Seriously? I have been playing FPS games since Doom, GoldenEye, Duke Nukem, etc. I have never hurt anyone intentionally, never did any of the things you listed, and I am a superintendent for an electrical contractor. I own and shoot a variety of guns on a regular basis. You know why I'm not a menace? I was raised in a house where there were consequences for my actions. I was held accountable for everything I did, good or bad. The problem with youth today, is they have no parental guidance, not video games and movies.

Even when the game would be changed to "mature" squeakers would still play it. Best example is Call of Duty. I am 17 and I played Ghosts for 1-2 days, and there were squeakers wh oinsulted me, and used words that I never heard before.... :o It is not the squeakers fault. The cause are the stupid parents! Every time when I see a squeaker playing shooters I think: "What kind of parents has this poor little kid?" This is just sad..... :/

The conclusion is that people who act violently (killing sprees, mass murders etc) are mentally ill before they started gaming. Violent games are hardly even the trigger to that problem. Their untreated mental illness is what causes the problems, not games. As to your other arguments, I'm sorry, but they are all bullshit. You think children are not already stuck in their smartphones 24/7? When they're not on consoles they're texting or really just staying at home. And the curse words? They will learn them sooner or later, and not from video games. you contradict yourself. You say you need mature people to play, but then say mature people teach little kids curse words? If they were mature, they wouldn't curse in the first place. That's all for now.

If you're on Xbox there is something called parental control. You can limit who they hear and I'm pretty sure what they play and what time they can use it
