Hello guys,
i bet you all know that for the past few days the players have been whining over the whole website to be able
to purchase the tkk collectors edition without the past content and get some of the price cut off.
Bungie listened and did it.
You are now able to purchase the extras of the digital collectors edition on its own.
Alright i admit, 20 bucks are a bit much, but hey, the people are getting an option to buy it or not, you
do not have to buy it and now you can get a collectors edition without the base game and past dlcs for 60.
Even after that i STILL see people crying about it! Sorry but how self-entitled are you guys?
They gave you everything you asked for and now you guys are freaking crying over them not giving
you the stuff for free or for 5 bucks? Which adult does not have a spare 20 bucks? If you are saying "Oh 20 bucks
are just too much for cosmetics in my opinion" Great, nobody forces you to buy those cosmetics, do they?
If you are saying "Oh but i really want them, bungie make it less expensive" They did not have to offer it
seperate in the first place! It is still collectors edition stuff afterwards! I really dont think a collectors edition for 60 bucks

4 RisposteEvery time I walk into a GameStop, the douchebag behind the counter always asks me after I ask for a certain game on launch date, "Did you preorder your copy?!" While giving me the Fonzy thumbs. And I always say..."No, of course not". And they always say..."Awe man, why not?!" "BECAUSE IM BUYING IT NOW!!!" These peons behind the counter are like the thrall for the gaming industry. It's their job to push this garbage on you while you check out. Why do you think buying a video game nowadays is like opening a cell phone contract? "No you cannot have my phone number. No you cannot have my email address. No you cannot date my sister..." The list goes on and on... Pay for the game on launch and be done with it. 90% of the games I buy on launch even has the codes for any preordering swag available for that game. Use your head. There's a war out for your wallet and you don't even realize it.

The main problem is that Activision is looking to charge people as much as they can for as little content as possible and get away with it. If you're perfectly happy with being charged [b]20 dollars[/b] for a few little cosmetic items and having this trend continue well into the future, then you are part of the problem.

I do not think getting those items for $20 is what the players were asking for. It worse than the Elder Scrolls horse armor. Frankly they should just include it with the $40 package given that $40 seem pretty high already. This would still not devalue the $80 package.

You just can't please these brats. Most of them it's their parents money anyway. These losers crying on here don't have jobs! Games are in business to make money, and they charge rediculous prices for worthless perks all the time. If you don't think it is worth it, don't buy it. That's how consumer based capitalism works. You vote with your wallet. And if something doesn't sell then companies realize it was a rip off and change up their tactics for the next round. These chumps just don't get it.

$20 is the price point now. Now, keep in mind, originally in order to get this content, you needed to buy the $80 version of TTK that includes the full Destiny game AND the 2 DLCs. Since this is $20 by itself, that means they think it is worth as much money as Destiny + the Season Pass and half as much money as TTK by itself. how can you support such an ass-backwards company?

No you got it wrong. Bungie is giving us veteran players the opportunity, nay the priviledge, to pay them an additional 20 dollars to acquire the 9 precious, mostly cosmetic DLC items contained within the collectors edition of the taken king. Praise be to RNGesus and long live our glorious overlord Activision!

Maybe in the USA it's $60 but here in Australia that collectors edition is $120...... (around $93 us) Still I've already pre-ordered mine :D

4 RisposteI dont care how other people waste their money as long as it doesnt get the developers in the habit of releasing minimal content for the same price they used to charge for full expansions. Also, I dont get the "if your an adult you shouldnt care about $20" argument. Sure you can spare $20. It doesnt mean be frivolous with it. What if a carton of eggs cost $20, or a gallon of milk? Its just $20 who cares? The point is that these things add up. And when you accept that price, your telling them its ok to do that for everything

I'm literally dumbfounded at how much people complain about having to spend 20, 40, 60 whole dollars for content that entertains for extended periods of time. 20 dollars of ammo is entertainment for maybe 2 hours if you are just shooting .22. 20 dollars is one movie and snacks. 20 dollars isn't even a day as Disney World. 20 dollars barely buys a tee shirt these days. 20 dollars gets you into a crappy band concert. 20 dollars is two beers at a football game.
