If TTK was 20 and that edition was 90 or 100, then there would be little-to-no problems. But then again the last-gen players (me for only Destiny) needed an incentive to swap over to current gen. Edit: also think of this (my own numbers based on various reports): New edition: 70 (Im hearing 80 and 60 so ill go for the middleman) TTK: 40 Destiny base game: 65 HoW and TDB: 35 (season pass) 140 was payed for apparantly 70 worth of content. So if you go for the new edition, ot will be either: The Base game and season pass is worth 30. Or TDB, HoW and TTK are worth 5. Or Base game and TTK is worth 35. Its a super bargain and I do understand the concept of depreciation, but a product cant be depreciated that fast.
