Yeah my thoughts are this...if you came across another women that enthralled you and you decided you liked enough to have a relationship with (even just a sex based one) why didn't you divorce your Mrs first? There was no reason to cause that kind of upset to someone you once loved (I'm assuming) cheating is never an option if someone who has a partner decides they are bored or finds someone else they wish to be with them they should be honest and end their current relationship nothing makes a bigger asshole out of a person then cheating. There's 100% absolutely no need or reason to do it.
