Don't think this is really a question but could I have maybe a brief overview of Halo: Escalation? There are some things that I am a bit confused on. If you could shed some light on the situation that'd be awesome.

What happened with the Janus Key? I know that Jul 'Mdama has both pieces but how did he get it?

Dr. Halsey laid a trap for the Infinity, getting them to bring their half of the Janus Key down to a planet's surface. Unfortunately, Jul's forces encountered an insurrection, which complicated the matter, and had the UNSC's half of the key switching hands, until Jul crushed his insurrection with extreme prejudice and rescued Halsey from Palmer.
