I get it as an option but what you are missing is that THAT "option" becomes default ala TDM on CoD because it's the most accessible. If it fails then people think it's the game and choose to blame the game for shitty MM and write the game off. Oh but wait, you know more than game devs just like everyone around here, I suppose.
