Destroying the black garden did nothing to stop the vex . They either destroy us in the future or we stop trying to defeat the vex .
-since their are descendant vex from the future in the VoG , we can conclude that the vex are never destroyed , and they either destroy us or we give up trying to destroy them .

The VOG is its own separate plane of exsistence but yes destroying the black garden didn't stop the Vex but most likely put a wrench in their schemes.
