The game was originally going to be a fantasy game, not sci-fi. Elements from this are still in the game, like the names of the hive and vex enemies.
There is a poster of Destiny showing the earth, Traveler, and moon in one of the multiplayer maps in Halo: Reach. I can't remember the name of it, but it was one of the ones from the multiplayer beta.

Nope. That poster was in the ODST Campaign and it was a picture of the Tower (or some other floating sphere) and it said "Destiny Awaits" below it.

I'm not referring to that poster. I'm referring to the yellow poster that had the earth, the Traveler, and the moon.
