Ascending max stat armour does not always produce max stat armour (but sometimes it does).

Hey Bungie. So, before House of Wolves I had some exotic armour that was at the maximum stat roll for 2nd generation, and some that was near max. Here are the results of ascending them. Helm of Inmost Light from +128 to +135. Helm of Saint-14 and The Glasshouse from +127 to +135. Crest of Alpha Lupi (H) from +170 to +180 The Armamentarium from +169 to +180. At first I thought I'd struck gold, as the previous helmet and chestpiece maximums were +128 and +170 and I assumed these must be the new maximums. However, it became apparent that the new maximums are actually +136 and +181. Now, I'm not posting this to kick off over one stat point, although I think I'm allowed to feel a little hard done by. It's like winning the RNG lottery only to be docked a bit of the jackpot later and at endgame level this sort of thing matters. It's not all bad news, my No Backup Plans went from +113 to +120 and my Mk 44 Stand Asides went from +156 to +166, both the known gauntlet and boot maximums for Gen2 and Gen3. Is this working as intended, Bungie? I'd actually be interested in the mathematics behind ascension and stat rolls. Why did some of my max stat items top out and some lose a point? (I'd also like some kind of way to increase the stat roll on an armour piece, but that's a topic for another time.)
