No, you misunderstand.
What if you are worshipping the wrong god? The very god you believe in promises hell to those who don't believe or that worship other gods. What if you're worshipping the wrong one?
Aside from that, modern feel-good Christianity may be about "love and happiness" but that's not a biblical view of the religion.
