People have asked for "optional many times" bungie probably deletes these because they give the players a choice and make too much sense.

Just because they post it a lot doesn't mean they have any reasons. Most don't want to look for a fire team. Which is just plain laziness.

Smh, easy to say. Sometimes you just dont want to look. And we all paid money for this game. So whats the difference in adding optional? Dont select MM then. Play with your friends. I dont want mandatory MM. is optional too hard to understand?

It was put out long before the game was released that there wouldn't be matchmaking for those activities. There is no one to blame but yourselves.
