Host a fight club on the iron keep bridge. Every time someone dies you get 1 free effigy + souls as well. Talk to all the milfanoas(idk spelling) then when you have no effigies in your inventory there is a spot after the song demon in Shrine of Ananna where you can turn human as long as effigies=0. If you beat all 3 of the DLCs and get the crowns and ashen mist heart, go to the Undead Crypt and behind where Velstat was you'll be able to enter a memory. Exhaust all the dialogue and once you do, if you put on one of the four kings crowns, you will always remain human when you die and can't be cursed until you enter the next NG. Also you cannot reinforce rings, but you can get +1 & +2 & +3 of some rings.
