Any type of cursing bothers me a little bit, but I'm guilty of it myself. From past jobs and friends, I've simply learned to accept it and ask people to watch their profanity if it becomes out of hand. You have to think of what "goddamn it" actually means. To be damned by God is to be sent to suffer for eternity in Hell. And there is nothing worse than that. So technically anyone of thing that you "Goddamn" is technically one o the most hateful things you could ever say. Yet we live in a modern age of a desensitized people who simply overlook such things without second thought.

My NCO was a born again christian and when I yelled, Goddamit, he got pìssed!! And pretty much called me out in front of my formation, a little embarrasing, but I learned my lesson.
