No there shouldn't be an exchange for etheric light. This just kills the aspect of even playing. You guys really wanna just buy everything smh. It doesn't matter how much glimmer motes etc it will cost. Ppl will just grind glimmer. Dismantle weapons. And get strange coins for it. Like no man. Shut up with this foolishness. They've already ruined a lot of the game by making it easier/catering to casuals by material exchange. Ppl just used that to get motes and now everyone has all the new helmets in 1week. Where is the fun in doing everything all at once? If you really want all 365 weapons and to be 34 already there's a way to do that. And it's never gonna be on sale from the speaker because it's not that scarce and it's not supposed to be like shards and energy. That's why it doesn't drop 6 at a time.

I see where you are coming from, but there are those who simply don't have the time to sink into this game, and grinding is NEVER fun. Ever. Period. I don't care if "all games do it". I am glad that the speaker now exchanges materials, because it has literally been months since I've spent any ANY of my resources on anything. Etheric light is only obtainable in End-Game content, which some are not going to be good enough to obtain. Am I saying we make it easy for them? No, I am very much against the... casual-ization of gaming, were devs make games easier or more accessible to a larger audience to sell more games. However... I still think there should be a way for players who are not so good to obtain their Etheric Light, and for players who ARE good who need MORE Etheric Light to have the chance to obtain it. So... perhaps exchange 2 Exotic Shards and, say,1000 Glimmer or Etheric Light? Similar to how we exchange Energy to Shards. This will still allow players who play the game in general the chance for their Etheric Light, where other more experienced players who are sitting on SEVERAL useless Exotics and Exotic Shards the chance to use those materials.

I agree completely, and it's not too late to add it into his inventory. It would actually be one of the easiest fixes they could have for this issue.

Baffling really that it's not there. Make it really expensive. The most expensive thing in the game currently is that ship from Petra at what, 17.5k glimmer? Make the Etheric light cost that plus one each of the radiants, and ten each of the ascendants, and some coins and motes for good measure. The speaker exchange was a very good step in the right direction to sinking some currencies, especially Friday when Xur sold the helm engrams and now that most everyone has a couple few weapons they want to re-roll. Why not just add the Etheric light? If we are really honest, the point isn't just hitting max anymore (and thankfully so) but putting together a setup with both the perks and looks that suit your play style!
