Is it just me, or can you not inspect players Grimoire through the "author's profile" on the companion app anymore? I may be wrong, but I think they removed it. I personally relied heavily on inspecting which grimoire cards people had, what exotics they were missing, whether people boosted their grimoire with glitched dead ghosts, and how many completions of VoG and Crota's End they had.
