Basically what Ninja said but, I find it easiest to kill it the first time you see it. After killing the knight at the top of the stairs just make a mad dash behind it and start hitting it's legs. When it raises the leg your hitting switch to the other and repeat till dead. If you already triggered it then eyes you have to time his fire breath attack, the chance you'll get hit at least once tho is very high so be careful.
