It literally proves that we look similar to apes. I can use your same reasoning to prove we're related to chickens, but no Evolutionist likes the idea since we don't look alike; and so, the atheistic community ventures to snatch up similarities between the human and the monkey in order to rid the idea that a higher being was not necessary to jump start all that we see.
