Usually you take her to dinner somewhere with a waiter/waitress but this is not always the case. Pay her attention at the dance but if she wants to talk to friends a while don't be clingy. DANCE even if you "can't dance". Drive her home. Other things happen sometimes but I am not getting into that!! Girl: pick a dress, tell him what colors to get, get a boutonniere for him. Try to be ready reasonably close to when he is picking you up. At the dance be sure to hang out with him some and don't flirt much with other guys that is rude. Ride home with him it is also rude not to do that unless something weird happens. Sometimes you meet there instead (drive yourself or ride with friends or your parents) that is less romantic but some people feel safer that way, it is less pressure.
