Anyone a Hardcore Vaper That Could Me Out?
So I have a battery which I believe to be an 18650, and I've been leaving it to charge for about 5 hours now and I go pop it in my vape and get one weak hit off it. My question is, who is at fault? The battery or charger?
Btw I think it might be the charger because it is some random cheapy chinese one but idk... Need some expert opinion..

Depends, how old is your battery? It could be dying, I usually get 4 or so months of good use outta 18650s. Could be that the charger isn't working properly as well. I also had an issue with my old mod, even on full battery, it wasn't working right and would give me weak hits. I'd try a new battery, get a Samsung 18650, they're like $8-$10. If that doesn't work try the charger or you may need a new vape. Hope this helps

5 RisposteDo you have another battery for comparison? Or a friends you can borrow? If you can get a hit off of another battery, your mod is fine, go buy a new battery. (As well as a smart-charger that reads charge.) If you still get a dry/half assed hit off of a completely different battery it's a mod problem. Also, Make sure to test your builds with an ohmmeter, as not to kill batteries in the future. One firing with a low-resistance faulty build can fry an 18650. This also can keep your face away from explosions.

7 RisposteA lot of factors can play in to this. A) faulty battery B) faulty charger C) faulty springs inside the mod D) bad connection between the battery and atty E) bad coil wrapping/something blocking the connection between the wire and the posts F) burnt cotton G) too high/low resistance My recommendation is all together to stay away from mechanical mods. You can get regulated mods that fire at whatever wattage you wish, so realistically you're only endangering yourself by getting a mechanical mod, there's no need for it. Also, spend the money and get some nice Sony 18650's and a smart battery charger that tells you the voltage and stops charging when fully charged. With what you have, it's really iffy. I'd be very wary, and personally if all you're getting is dry hits I wouldn't even use it. If you don't want to deal with all the battery nonsense, do what I did, get an istick 50w. When I bought it, it was like $50. Now, probably 5 months later, it's the only mod I use. And I'm sure there's other mods with built in batteries that go higher, I just haven't looked because I'm so satisfied with the istick. Have a nice little RDA on it vaping at a safe .3 ohms. There's really no need to go crazy and blow your hand/face off. At that point of cloud chasing (going below .3 ohms), you're just asking for trouble.
